Dr.
Emadi joined the ECE Department of IIT in September 2000
as an assistant professor. His areas of specializing include:power
electronics, motor drives, electric machines, and power
systems.
His
research interests include:

- Modeling,
analysis, design, and control of power electronic converters.
- Automotive
power systems.
- Electric
machines and drives design.

control of adjustable speed motor drives.

aerospace, and power

- ElectroMagnetic
Compatibility (EMC).
- Motor
drives for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Electric
Vehicles (HEV).

Dr.
Emadi is the author of over 15 journal and conference
papers. He is a member of IEEE, IEE, and SAE. He is also
the founder and faculty advisor of the IIT Hybrid Electric
Vehicle Team.
